Feed Scrolling is not smooth #221

Describe the bug When just scrolling through a feed, there is some stop/start/jerky behavior. Like scrolling will "get stuck" for a split second then resume. It appears it is due to some refresh in the background. It would be cool to enable manual refresh to stop/control this behavior.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Just scroll the time line for a few minutes.

Expected behavior Smooth scroll with no hiccups

This is easy to reproduce in the iPhone client by tapping on a toot to show detail view and then going back to the timeline and then scrolling

I was able to reproduce it as well by just liking or reblogging a post, then quickly returning to scrolling. It's like the action processing in the background takes resources away from the scroll.
