(Test Pull Request) Adding Dowsncaling Class in Calibration ontology #6

Added cal:Downscaling class as a subclass of ds:Step, with the following dc:description: "This process involves the utilization of mathematical algorithms or numerical simulations to extrapolate localized climate phenomena and detailed spatial patterns from broader-scale atmospheric or oceanic information, thus facilitating more precise analyses and projections at regional or local scales."

Hi, Thanks for this proposal. there is a subclass of ds:Step, Calibration, with the following description: Calibration dc:description "Adjustment techniques are a broad family of empirical methods aiming at the statistical transformation of a climate model output using as reference one or several variables from a second dataset." So, ¿would it make sense to include the proposed Downscaling as a subclass of ds:Calibration, in ds vocabulary? Then, the specific methods are described in calibration ontology. This is just a suggestion, I would like to hear your opinion Best, Joaquin

Hi Joaquin,

Thank you for your response.

Indeed, I agree that it would be better to add it as a subclass of the more precise class ("ds:Step"/"cal:Calibration"). I had thought of it before.

Including Downscaling as a subclass of "cal:Calibration" in the vocabulary makes sense. Also, I believe the "Calibration" subclass of "ds:Step" is part of the Calibration ontology, not the Datasource. Am I right? If so, it should be "cal:Calibration" (not "ds:Calibration"). Then, we should add "cal:Downscaling" (that's how is defined in the pull request).

I will make another pull request with the changes.

Best regards, Albert
