The "associated resource" panel has several functions:
(de)associate online resources
(de)associate thumbnails
...
RNDT has quite a lot of specifications about the distribution onlineResource element, and these specs have been implemented into the main editor for editing such info. Replicating all the constraints in the associated resource panel would involve some work, and would then need to be kept in synch with the main editor, so we're removing such duplication.
Some other resource associations are failing because of missing xsl in the process/ dir
