RFC 5141: failure to deal with FDIS/Amd URNs

In ISO there are draft Amendments created on top of draft base documents.

• 178

These document identifiers cannot be encoded using the URN scheme of RFC 5141 because the scheme cannot handle more than one stage.

I've emailed Holger Apel at ISO/CS about this but to date there has been no reply.

I spoke to Stéphane Chatelet the IT Director at ISO about this, and he said they will instead fix their systems (and processes) to prohibit derived deliverables to occur on unpublished documents.

We will await any updates here.
