In GoodNotes there is a presentation / attention pen, which you can draw with and then it gradually disappears when you lift your pen (while your pen is down, the strokes remain visible). This is useful for drawing attention to things, i.e. "pointing" to them and I use it extensively when lecturing with GoodNotes.
When presenting with metaboard, I find myself using a normal pen to achieve the same effect, and then hidding Undo a bunch of times. Sometimes I forget I'm in "attention pen" mode and I draw some lines that are meant to stay there, and then have to undo them as well to get rid of my wannabe attention pen lines. This is not great.
