4 years ago The house should have multiple occupancy modes:
- home (auto)
- away (auto)
- bed/sleep
- vacation (manual)
- guest (manual)
Automations:
- set mode to home if at least one family member is home.
- set mode to away if none of the family members is home.
?? Do we need an override that disables any occupancy related automations?
In guest mode some of the automations will not work. Mostly the presence based ones. The mode assumes no one from the family is at home but one or more guests (logees) are. These can be actual guest or cleaners.
