Export ICA-corrected waveform #10

Hello,

I cleaned my EEG data using AutoMagic and tried to do data analysis in Brainstorm. Brainstorm had no problem importing AutoMagic-processed EEGLAB files, but the ICA components were not retained. I wonder if there is a way to export ICA-corrected waveforms to an EEGLAB file format rather than saving raw data and ICA weights or parameters separately?

I also notice that AutoMagic produced two matlab data files, one starting with "ip_" and the other with "reduced". I found that the reduced file were missing almost half of time points, and I am curious what this file is used for?

Hi Sungjin,

Thanks for your interest in Automagic.

Regarding the ICA-corrected waveforms. If you used ICA in Automagic, the output of Automagic is actually the ICA-corrected EEG activity. I'm not sure, what you are looking for. If you look for the ICA time-series. This is stored in the variable "EEG.icaact ".

Regarding the reduced file. This is only required to visualize the data (data viewer gui). But, it strange that it is missing for half of the files. But the "ip_" file is available for those files?

Best,

Nicolas
