Hi @mvieno
The pollen module is the result of MACC I/II/III and CAMS50 work. The projects asked us to implement the pollen emission algorithms developed at FMI for SILAM.
So far we have integrated emissions for bitch, olive, grass and ragweed pollen. We provide daily pollen forecasts to CAMS50, which creates an ensemble forecast. The individual model's forecasts and the ensemble forecasts are available from the regional CAMS50 site.
@michaelgau asked M. Sofiev about using the pollen module for other projects than CAMS50, tho which Sofiev agreed. I do not know if we explicitly asked about making it part of the open source release, nor redistributing the polen input files. @michaelgau do you remember that discussion?
Cheers, Á.
Hi. Yes we discussed this with Mikhail Sofiev. It is ok to use this module in other protects if reference is made to FMI and their pollen publications. Making it part of the open source code is more tricky. We haven't discussed this, not recently anyway.
Hi, ok, I may contact Mikhail Sofiev, and ask him if it is ok for me to use this module in the EMEP4UK.
Massimo
Hi, is the pollen module available to all users?
many thanks Massimo
