EMEP domain #54

Hi again,

I am do research on ship emissions in the straits of Sicily and around the Maltese islands. The ship emissions are derived from the STEAM model which was developed my the FMI. Luckily, the STEAM results are integrated with the EMEP model.

I started learning the EMEP model in order to analyse the transport of emissions. However, when I started plotting the results from the test data examples, it was noticed that the EMEP model does not cover the whole area of the Mediterranean Sea and the Maltese islands are very close of the edge of the domain as described in the attached screenshot. It is possible to modify the size of the EMEP domain to cover the whole area of Mediterranean sea?

The emep model can cover any region, however this requires that you have access to at least the relevant meteorological data. Most external users make their meteorological data use wrf. You will learn all this at the course; see you there!
