Hi,

Can somebody suggest where I can download the LanduseGLC.nc file?

It is no more in use and now incompatible with the model version at least from rv4_17. Why do you need it?

Hi Peter,

I need the data file in order to run the EMEP model over the whole Mediterranean Sea and part of North Africa.

Any suggestions on how to cover this area?

As show during the emep course you can run anywhere. The landuse file glc2000xCLMf18.nc is global.

That what I did. But got the following error: MapFile glc2000xCLMf18.nc MapFile NOTSET RdLanduseCDF:LANDUSE: found 1 .../glc2000xCLMf18.nc NetCDF: Index exceeds dimension bound ERRMSG: RRvalues STOP-ALL ERROR: Error in netcdf routine application called MPI_Abort(MPI_COMM_WORLD, 9) - process 0 NetCDF: Index exceeds dimension bound ERRMSG: RRvalues STOP-ALL ERROR: Error in netcdf routine

Any suggestions?

Can you send the entire output? (The one that contains "RdLanduseCDF:LANDUSE: found 1 .../glc2000xCLMf18.nc" etc.)

See also issue 41 . This is solved in more recent versions.

Hi Peter,

The issue is now solved and the EMEP model is reading the grid resolution from the WRF meteorological files!

However, I got another issue regarding the Global emissions file. How I can get the file named Emis_GLOB_05.nc?

The is is error printed in the log file: Emissions: reading emis_inputlist 1Emis_GLOB_05.nc Emissions:Emis_GLOB_05.nc Processing Emissions:Emis_GLOB_05.nc iemProcess 1 Emis_GLOB_05.nc INPUTLIST: 1 1Emis_GLOB_05.nc 0 0 0 WARNING EMISFile missing! Emis_GLOB_05.nc Emissions:Emis_GLOB_05.nc REPLACE 1 Emis_GLOB_05.ncEmis_GLOB_05.nc
EmisGetCdf:START Emis_GLOB_05.nc ERROR: EmisGetCdf - couldn't open Emis_GLOB_05.nc

Hi Martin, Emis_GLOB_05.nc is not part of the emep model. You can simply uncomment that file from the config_emep.nml, or replace it by some other emission data. We do not distribute global emissions. There are some global emission sets available, but this is up to you to find and process.

If you want to test and try out things, I can send you the Emis_GLOB_05.nc file. It is however without any guarantee and you cannot use it for any official work (like publications).

Yes, I would appreciate if you can send me a sample file to check the configurations.

I will be using the htap data set: https://edgar.jrc.ec.europa.eu/htap_v2/ in order to build the global Emissions data file.
