From what I gather, the issues with Ruby 3 all seem to be in the individual downstream checkers. When I run this on our project: cane, flay, roodi, saikuro.
So someone has to get to each of those projects and see if there is a newer version which could be used instead, or file a ticket so they know it isn't. :(
Their readme suggests that new projects should use Rubocop instead.
Given that metric_fu itself also appears to be using Rubocop, it does seem weird to include cane.
