Blinking Red Light when "Code" File added to M4 portal #18

Hi all! I'm having an issue where I get a blinking red error light on the back of the M4 portal when I load the "code" file onto the drive. Nothing lights up on the board including the "loading" screens. I am not quite sure what is going on because I have successfully set up two other boards following these directions. I am concerned there may be a hardware issue that is driving this. The LED board works (I've tested it with other working M4 portals) so I am almost certain its an issue with this specific M4 portal.

Same issue. Downloaded all files and the LEDs show nothing.

When I had this issue, I realized I needed to use the 6.2 version linked here: https://adafruit-circuit-python.s3.amazonaws.com/bin/matrixportal_m4/en_US/adafruit-circuitpython-matrixportal_m4-en_US-6.2.0.uf2

There's something about the newer versions of the software not working with this so the older one is necessary.
