Some bootleg carts use flash chips which are not yet supported by the patcher. Correct behaviour after saving is that the graphics glitch, there is a short pause while the save is flushed, and then the game continues. If the flash is not detected then the game continues without the pause. If the flash is partially detected then the game freezes indefinitely while trying to flush the save.

369-in-1 cart seems to be one of these incompatible carts - worth taking some time to look into

Cartridge compatibility has been improved by a lot now that Lesserkuma's save code is merged.
