Kind regards,

Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach - German Literature Archive Marbach

Description:
In 2013 the German Literature Archive in Marbach launched the three-year project „Preserving German Net Literature And Making It Long-Term Available“.
The purpose of this project was to establish a corpus of relevant sources of German-language electronic literature developing since the 1990s. This type of literature uses the internet and its typical hyperlink structure not only as a form of publication, but also as a scope of design and object of aesthetic reflections. Software and hardware are of paramount importance to the creation and reception of electronic literature. METS is used to store bibliographical, technical and structural information about the archived objects.

Discussed at METS Board Meeting on August 11, 2016.

One comment from Board member: In the Profiles section, the listed profile is not an official, registered METS profile document. The consensus was that this section was intended for METS profiles only. Tom will suggest to the registrant that this profile be listed in the Docs section, and also to suggest thatr tyhey might ant to consider registering an official profile with LoC.

Hi Tom,

thank you ver much! We'd be fine with that revision and will be happy to be included in the METS Implementation Registry.

I understand your concerns about our profile not conforming to the METS Profile Schema. I'll talk to our team and see if and when we'll be able to make the necessary modifications. When our profile conforms to the METS Profile Schema I'll happily register it with LoC.

Kind regards,
