Btw, this list should mention the Archivematica METSFlask tool (https://github.com/timothyryanwalsh/METSFlask).
The suggestion now is to add or update tools at https://coptr.digipres.org/ with information about METS handling capabilities.
We would then link to METS tools on COPTR from the LoC web site rather than listing tools there.
I created a new wiki category called "METS" to COPTR, see https://coptr.digipres.org/Category:METS An existing tool page in COPTR can be added to the list just by adding the following tag to the tool page: [[Category:METS]]
This is a sub-category of "Content Type" category, which can be found from the link "Tools by Content" on the left side of the page.
For now, there is only one tool (Pre-Ingest Tool) listed. I think we should review the category page before adding any more tools into it.
The information about METS handling capabilities of a tool should go to the tool page, but it is not shown in the Category page, where the tools are listed.
Dear All, Thank you Juha, that's great! I can help with creating entries for METS tools, if needed. Unfortunately, I won't be able to join today's call. I updated the Goobi entry on that list. The RSS plugin seems to be broken though. It shows a TLS error message when trying to fetch the feeds.
We should review the list of tools http://www.loc.gov/standards/mets/mets-tools.html and move it to a GitHub wiki so that it is easier to keep the list of tools up to date.
