I imagine you've been relatively busy with both managing Forge and Just Enough Items (JEI) so I thought this would perhaps help you out. It's not the best of ports that it could've been. I'm not much of a genius like yourself, but I did my best to hopefully make it available for those wanting to use it in Minecraft 1.12.
EDIT: In regards to the recipe book problem #12 there didn't appear to be any viable way yet to check if it was open or enabled without using AT (Lots of nope!).
