Currently, when an association is "dematerialized" in the structural editor, it breaks semantic mapping, as the structure stops to fit the semantic relations.
The solution will not be very straightforward.
The cleanest way would be to generate a "semantic annex" with OWL Property Chains and map to it.
For XML, the proper logic could also be generated in the XSLTs
