Well, I have to point out the problem with menulinks feature, which I think is expensive to solve. See the attached pictures of behavior when the browser window is small. Old Vaadin MenuBar component: menubar MenuLinks feature: menulinks

We could fork MenuBar component and its templates and customize... is it really what we want? Is "open in new tab" really such an important feature?
