a tabbed window if we use the current options windows from xskat to define this, this is what we could do:

graphic & text

cards (radio: French, tournament, German, Swiss, Neapolitan)
language (radio: English, German)
user name (input box)

AI

strength of AI player 1 (radio: -- - 0 + ++)
strength of AI player 2 (radio: -- - 0 + ++)
hints (check box)
AI player 1 name (input box)
AI player 2 name (input box)

variations

play Ramsch (radio: no, yes, always)
say Kontra
bockrounds
spitze
revolution
klopfen
schenken
old rules

ramsch variations

Schieberamsch (check box)
Skat goes to (radio: last trick, loser)

speed

take trick after (slide rule, in seconds, defaults 1.8s)
deal (radio: fast, slow)
shortcut (radio: always, ask, never)

multiplayer mode

local LAN (button pops up other window)
internet IRC (button pops up other window)
