Failed to load zram kernel module on kernel 3.0.0-8-generic

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.modprobe zram
2.above command will fail

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu 11.10
uname -a:

modprobe output:
FATAL: Error inserting zram 
(/lib/modules/3.0.0-8-generic/kernel/drivers/staging/zram/zram.ko): Invalid 
module format

dmesg output:
[  129.056730] xvmalloc: exports duplicate symbol xv_create_pool (owned by 
kernel)

xvmalloc -> zsmalloc   problems gone.
