Meter counts not continuing across domains #33

Hi @mg2dael - the NP team found an issue with the meter counts. Can you please review?

I have replicated the Connext issue of meter counts not being shared between myAJC and myAJC blogs as they should. I confirmed that they share the same product ID. Please report this to MG2 and let us the best way to follow up for resolution.

To replicate:

  • Clear cookies
  • View articles on myAJC until you get the roadblock
  • Then move to http://getschooled.blog.myajc.com/ and see that you do not get the roadblock – your meter count starts over.
  • View source on blog page to see that Connext product id matches

Hi @lmai83 This is expected behavior for ConneXt and was done to accommodate the original desire for niche to be its own meter set (which is no longer the desired behavior). We've already addressed this in our next version and we're testing to see if we can add the fix to version 1.7 without causing breakage.

@lmai83 and @kamini1208 - It was and we communicated that to Gwen. Sorry I forgot to close the loop here. Setting this new flag is handled at the configuration. It will require all article counts to reset to 1, so Gwen is going to flip that switch when Niche goes live (I believe).
