There are quite a few improvements needed for WebColorChooserField:

Separate component type and UI implementation
Proper styling support
Separation of eyedropper tool into a standalone feature
Fix for eyedropper getting stuck when origin window loses focus

It might also be worth looking at next issues in the same update:
