There is missing fog emulation in Etrian Odyssey, which makes the 3D pop-in very, very apparent compared to console. I'm using melonDS as a reference as it appears to emulate the effect correctly.

Because OBS shit the bed when trying to record Medusa, the image quality is a bit worse and I took these screencaps from a stream in which I tried to show both emulators.
