feature request : change icon depending on active interface and network status #9

Hello, It would be nice if the two arrows icon on left of throughput display changed, depending on the type of active interface (either wireless, wired ethernet, or ppp interface) and the network status (active or not), like it is in Mate netspeed applet. The latter would be most useful to know if the network is active or not (since I use most often a ppp interface, I cannot rely on nm-applet to know it). Thanks, Denis

This would be a useful feature.

Friends you can just open any browser in linux. Then open Netspeed and press "Start" button to test internet speed. It doesn't matter which Internet Service Provider it is.

I feel you may have misunderstood this issue. This issue is about interface type being visually indicated in the indicator, not about internet connectivity speeds. You comment is not related to this issue at all.
