U of M repeater info - Complaint from Shanon Qual #1

Are you the club rep or president of the U of M repeater listed below??? If so, who is this Scott person that likes to threaten people???? I see you're listed with the FCC as the responsible person for the machine.

I have no idea who Scott is. Is this person on Metro 4? When did you last speak with him? Did he identify himself with a GMRS callsign?

Can you please fill me in on the details of your interactions with this person?

Yes he says he owns and runs a GMRS machine at your site, wont give a call or last name and he is not a ham, that is his words in an email he sent me. I am trying to piece all this together before I move forward with the FCC.

The email address you provided replied, and said they have never used Metro 4.

Any ideas on the call sign used, what else was said, times/dates?

I have a radio listening actively on Metro 4.

Shanon- remind me of your GMRS call sign again, I want to check our records to make sure you’re listed as an active user.

Hi Scott,

I received a report form another user of Metro 4 that you have been making claims of owning the 462.650 MHz repeater system that is at Falcon Heights, MN. Additionally, the user reports that you have made claims that you are representing The Gopher Amateur Radio Club at The University of Minnesota.

Can you clarify your recent interactions on-air and otherwise for me? I would like to hear your side of the story here.

Hi Matt

Your user information is 100% wrong, I don't know anything about Metro-4, I am not on that frequency I have never talked on it. I suggest your "USER" get his facts right as ' I or our members would never make such a ridiculous statement about frequency ownership period. Nor would we need to be on your repeater. This why we maintain a "Closed Repeater, to avoid such foolishness. I'm glad you asked personally, Good Luck in getting to the root of your concern.

Just a follow-up since you were professional enough to check in with me, No one from our group knows anything about this or has ever talked on your system according to the E-mails I received back. Your user would will advised to get his facts straight it would appear, The members here were not thrilled about his allegations lets say. .
