  1. Please modify the term name for synechia [MP:0004222] to clearly indicate that it refers to "iris synechia". MODIFIED DEF: an adhesion (synechia) of the iris to the cornea or lens of the eye that may develop from glaucoma, cataracts, uveitis, or keratitis or as a complication of surgery or trauma to the eye; synechiae may prevent or impede flow of aqueous fluid between the anterior and posterior chambers of the eye, resulting in angle closure glaucoma

  2. Replace corneal adhesion to iris [MP:0006233] with new term name "anterior iris synechia" DEF:adhesion of the iris to the cornea EXISTING SYNONYM: irido-corneal adhesion NEW SYNONYM:anterior synechia NEW SYNONYM:anterior synechiae NEW SYNONYM: irido-corneal synechia NEW SYNONYM: irido-corneal synechiae (plural) NEW SYNONYM: iridocorneal synechia NEW SYNONYM: iridocorneal synechiae (plural) J:153369, J:158008, J:164007, J:158199, J:82280, J:152504, J:160781

  3. Add NEW TERM posterior iris synechia DEF: adhesion of the iris to the capsule of the lens or to the surface of the vitreous body SYN: posterior synechia SYN: posterior iris synechiae (plural) J:164007, J:9528

synechia [MP:0004222] was renamed to "iris synechia".

anterior iris synechia MP:0011481 ([MP:0006233] was merged into this.) posterior iris synechia MP:0011482
