I based the definition of "heart ventricle hypertrophy" on the definition of the existing child terms heart left ventricle hypertrophy MP:0002625 and heart right ventricle hypertrophy MP:0000276. These specifically refer to enlargement of heart left or right ventricular wall from the increase in size of its cells.
Changed the EQs of MP:0002625 and MP:0000276 to use "wall of left ventricle" and "wall of right ventricle", respectively, while Working on https://github.com/mgijax/mammalian-phenotype-ontology/issues/3854 IS THIS CORRECT ?
EQs previously used cardiac muscle of left ventricle and cardiac muscle of right ventricle
See Left ventricular hypertrophy from Mayo Clinic - image indicates thickening of both the ventricular wall and the septum.
Check HPO definition for: Ventricular hypertrophy Left ventricular hypertrophy Right ventricular hypertrophy Biventricular hypertrophy
Consider adding a new term for heart ventricle hypertrophy (a child of cardiac hypertrophy MP:0001625, increased heart ventricle size MP:0008772, abnormal cardiac muscle tissue morphology MP:0010630 and abnormal heart ventricle wall morphology see #3854)
heart ventricle hypertrophy DEF: enlargement of the heart ventricular wall due to an increase in the size of its cells SYN: heart ventricular hypertrophy SYN: cardiac ventricular hypertrophy SYN: hypertrophic heart ventricle wall -----------CHECK Child terms include: heart left ventricle hypertrophy MP:0002625 heart rig ht ventricle hypertrophy MP:0000276
Add new child term: biventricular heart hypertrophy DEF: enlargement of the heart ventricular wall due to an increase in the size of its cells in both ventricles SYN: hypertrophy of both the left and right heart ventricles SYN: biventricular cardiac hypertrophy SYN: bi-ventricular heart hypertrophy SYN: bi-ventricular cardiac hypertrophy
