This term is too broad in scope. Erythropoietin is also produced by the liver, although in the fetal/perinatal period, but therefore cannot be included as currently stated under kidney physiology. I will split this up into several terms, starting with the following:
id: MP:0011283 name: abnormal erythropoietin level
id: MP:0011284 name: abnormal circulating erythropoietin level
id: MP:0011285 name: increased circulating erythropoietin level
id: MP:0011286 name: decreased circulating erythropoietin level
id: MP:0011287 name: increased erythropoietin level
id: MP:0011288 name: decreased erythropoietin level
