This repo represents the data I used for my master's thesis evaluating the impacts of fire disturbance in the North American southwest desert on biodiversity.
[x] fig 1- try facets for regions then use color for burnt or 'control' or unburnt - as you see best for those sites or call them 'reference'I like control - fire is the natural treatment - plus we do not mean to imply never burnt. haha.
[x] fig 2 super no edits except try a diff color palette.

[ ] does the summary(gam) report the best outputs or do you need to do an anova(gam) like you do for GLMS to get if coefficients diff from one another?

is there a stats test in R to compare AIC scores other than be eyeball? Do you just do an anova? I can't recall
