SCURL authentication protocol bug? #8

Occasionally on connecting between my laptop and the lab desktop the SCURL auth protocol fails; other times it succeeds in the same situation. Investigate.

SCURL has been abandoned in favor of libsodium and CurveCP-like protocol for session initiation and key exchange.
