Can't register YTD domain for AuthSub #60

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Following instructions in GettingStarted, Go to 
https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageDomains
2. In "Add a New Domain" put my app URL (http://APP_ID.appspot.com/, replacing 
APP_ID with my app engine instance)
3. Press "Add Domain" button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to go through domain registration process, but I get "invalid domain".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
YTD 2.0

Please provide any additional information below.
When I first initiated the process I used my host website's domain. Now, I 
continue to get the red warning message when I try to reauthenticate in YTD 
Configuration or when a user tries the app. I have also generated and uploaded 
a new X509 cert and put the key in the Configuration tab, but that isn't 
working either.

This is pretty much out of my hands as the process of registering for AuthSub 
is independent from YouTube Direct. That being said, let's follow up at 
http://groups.google.com/group/youtube-api-gdata/browse_thread/thread/ea109c2865
1b1290 and see if we can figure out what's going on.
