Thanks for the suggestion @Smile-Lee! I'm not sure how feasible this one is, too be honest, but I'm marking it as a possible enhancement anyway. From what little I can gather (with a few minutes of Googling, having never really heard of MediaRSS) it looks like it at least needs a few extra XML tags besides the regular RSS tags, and I'm honestly not sure how flexible WordPress is when it comes to heavily modifying syndication feeds.
The best thing about having MediaRSS feeds would be for developers to be able to easily code mobile apps. These types of feeds make it easy for the computer to understand which image is the "main image" of the post.
I found one plugin, MediaRSS, that adds compatibility. But, if you have an image in your post, then it ignores the webcomic image. Which is kinda funny, considering the webcomic is usually the large first image. But, perhaps, there's something in that plugin that can be McGuyvered to only select the webcomic image.
It sure would be awesome if it was just a built in feature. That way we could have native compatibility with image feed readers.
