splitisland size #321

Presently if we turn on splitisland it uses the value of 100. Perhaps we can make this value an option? I guess it depends a bit on the size of the emission but I was doing some runs with 1000 instead and they seemed to work pretty well and give a bit less patchiness in the emission.
