updated to work with hapi v17
also targeted node 8
- hapi now targets features available there (async/await).
- it also now defines engines as { node: '>=8.9.0' }, so lower node versions are no longer supported by hapi either
- targetting node 8 removes the need to depend on regeneratorRuntime for async/await

resolves #5
