Information hard to understand #7

Certain commands require users to add in time zones and 2-letter country codes, some of which users might not be well aware of. The lists/tools to help the users are only shown in the paramter constraints summary, after an extensive search. Should be included in explanations so that users are informed.

Team's Response

Thank you for the bug report! Right after the quickstart section of our User Guide, we added the disclaimer that "Certain commands require parameters ... their prefixes and constraints can be found in our parameters summary table." (Refer to screenshot below).

We also expressed the intended format by providing examples under every command in our User Guide, and if a user enters a command wrongly in our application, error messages are displayed that guide them back onto the correct path. For examples, please refer to the screenshots below:

We felt that this was sufficient information for users to use the application effectively, especially since our target users are businessmen who travel frequently. Thus, it was an intentional design choice on our part to have this information only in select places in the User Guide, so as to not clog it up.

We changed the severity to Low as this is a rare issue that shouldn't affect most readers as we have stated it in our introduction to TBM's features.

Items for the Tester to Verify

 Issue response

Team chose [response.Rejected]

Reason for disagreement: Although you have included the disclaimer, it is typical user behavior to simply jump straight into the commands that can be used, thus why I believe that the links to the lists provided for country codes and timezones should be included in the descriptions for the commands that require these parameters.

As a user, if i were to jump to the description of the specific commands and there is no signposting whatsoever in that section which refers me to the list of country codes/timezones directly, I would assume that the app requires me to self-search for the relevant and appropriate codes/timezones.

 Issue severity

Team chose [severity.Low] Originally [severity.Medium]

Reason for disagreement: I firmly believe that this will cause occasional inconvenience to users, as country codes and especially timezones, are difficult concepts to grasp and remember, especially considering the huge number of them worldwide. It makes it especially harder when it is not clear (no clear signposting) in the app or the user guide command descriptions where I am able to retrieve the correct country codes/timezones. Thus, the severity should remain at severity.Medium.
