New design to address #3, courtesy of @sonalsharma

Here's the test environment with a subset of data loaded: http://communitydesign.datacats.io/

@mheadd take a look at it and if you like it, I can deploy the design to the production site.

P.S. To run this locally with datacats, you will need to upgrade to datacats 1.0 and run datacats migrate on the environment if you haven't already
