Wget disappearance

Hello, recently i installed all extensions like lux, you get, aria2c.....except wget since "Wget is bundled in the Windows version of Media Downloader as of version 2.6.0.", but mysteriously wget engine disappeared from the list of available engines....it's mysterious, wget can cause conflicts with other engines, hence its sudden automatic deletion?

I check, i put json of you get, lux, yt dlp ffmpeg....in C:/ folder, but i find this folder : "engines.v1", sould we put json files in "engines.v1" folder ?

Yes, all extension's config files go in the "engines.v1" folder. Only this folder will be used to search for "enabled" extensions.

Interesting, even when i didn't"t put the json config files in the ""engines.v1" folder because i put them in another folder, I strangely found in this folder " "engines.v1" all the json of you get, lux, arai2c..... whereas I don't remember having put these json files in the folder " ""engines.v1"".......

i go to extnsion page, i download wget json :

i go in Media-Downloader settings, i add "wget json" plugin, the startup of media donwloader telle me that wget is installed, but when i check and i want to use wget to testit i can't find wget engine in the list of download engine, it's mysterious, I put all the json that I downloaded in C: , maybe it causes a bug to put them there ..... I'll try to put them in another folder and also put them in the "engines.v1" folder and see if that solves this mystery....

I restart my computer and finally wget appears ! i decide to make yt-dlp aria2c my default donwloader engine because i am tired to change often between yt-dlp and yt-dlp aria2c when i donwload dailymotion videos....i tested yt-dlp ariac2c with youtube videos and it worked perfectly !

Is there any contraindications to use "yt -dlp aria2c" as default downloader for exemple banned ip adress ? does yt-dlp have a built-in accelerator?

Is there possibility to make "yt-dlp wget json" juste "yt-dlp ariac2c json" plugin? beacause i tested wget and wget can't download youtube videos....may be wget is faster thant arai2c that's why i make this request....

You can set Media Downloader to use a specific engine with specific options when downloading media from a specific website. Go to Configure->Ui Manager to set things up.

I use yt-dlp-aria2c full time. Aria2c behavior of opening multiple connections to download multiple chunks of a single file may appear to be abuse by some servers out there and this may lead to a ban but it has not happened to me yet. I think this concern is theoretical at this point.

yt-dlp does not support wget as a downloader so its not possible to have yt-dlp-wget extension
