encfs_askpass crashes if not using keychain #3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. set up a EncFS volume in macfusion.
2. press "edit", delete the passphrase. it gets deleted from the keychain. 
3. press "OK", then "mount".
4. enter any password or press "cancle". 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the system notifies me that "encfs_askpass" has crashed. macfusion reports the 
password was 
invalid.
