Thank you for using this plugin. This project's main purpose was to enable the old vcam to support the latest version of OBS. Please note that this project will not receive any further feature updates. The main
, 3.x
branch was an experimental implementation, directly copied from the OBS vcam code, and unfortunately, it's currently encountering some bugs.
I do have plans to enhance the functionality to allow all vcams to output different sources within a single OBS instance, but I cannot provide an estimated time of arrival for this feature at the moment.
So, this is still the case with the version 3.1.1 you made available, right? Because I see that one can select a scene or source in the global Tools/VirtualCam window, but there is still no chance to output more than one scene/source, right? For sending out multiple sources/scenes one still has to use the 2.x version?
PS: The version 2.1.0 exists under "releases", but the attached asset has the filename "obs-virtualcam-2.0.12-windows-x64-Installer.exe", although the timestamps of the contained files indicate that this is version 2.1.0. Can you fix this and upload the final 2.1.0 version to avoid version confusion? Thanks.

Yes, I'm working on it. It's using the same implementation as OBS built-in VCAM. It still lacks audio support (as same as built-in VCAM) and may have some compatibility issues with certain programs, but it's more stable than the legacy
, 2.x
branch, which may freeze during long runs.
It's fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This is so awesome that you are continuing this for the latest OBS. Thank you!
Do you happen to know if it is possible to change what is being sent to each virtual cam? I'm not sure this is even possible as I can see the additional virtual cams are most likely additional signed drivers and only mirror the one without being able to be unique in that manner. When I go to the virtual cam settings I only have the one main one to change for the output settings. Is this possible to implement? Thank you so much again!
