Capture Class Docstring and Readability Improvements

PR intended to improve overall readability and ease of understanding. Reduce barrier of entry time to the codebase.

• Add and improve docstrings
• Code clarity with an eye towards PEP
• Group these changes to make future code updates more friendly
• Add TODOs for dangling parameters etc

Crucially, there are no logic/implementation changes in this PR.
