Suggestion/discussion: Recenter the view vertically #540

When browsing posts, inevitably I end up scrolling down repeatedly and thus the selected post is always at the bottom. I find this a bit awkward unless I just shrink the window considerably. In vim I'd recenter the window/cursor with zz. Here there isn't much I can do, and the result is that I'm looking always at the bottom of the window, while having the whole rest of the window filled with posts that I've already glanced at.

This isn't a request, just an observation to see if anyone else considers this something that could be improved. A keybind to recenter would be onw approach, another would be to keep the focus always in the middle of the screen so with a glance you can see past and upcoming posts.

Any other ideas?

No worries, I just try to link to old issues for searchability. Clearly this feature is something that people are asking for and I appreciate your input.

I came here to request this as well. If I had to choose I would take zz, zt and zb over scrolloff. As is I occasionally try to zz to center the screen, and end up downvoting things
