logging in with links2 doesn't work #673

When I use rtv in the linux console, logging in with u opens links2. I can put in my username and password, but when I select "log in" to post the forms, links just reloads the same page. I can never get logged in, it's just a loop.

If I run links2 i.reddit.com, I can log in to my account. However, rtv doesn't seem to work with links for logging in.

Debian 9 stable (stretch)
python 3.5.3
pip 9.0.1
links 2.14
rtv 1.26.0 installed with sudo pip3 install rtv

I can confirm. I have the same exact issue.
