For first step towards understanding the solution, I decided to refactor config.yml and make it easier to work with. While refactoring, I noticed Netlify CMS has a widget called relation that might provide useful.

Cannot see changes made to the config and if events show up until I at least push up these changes. Really not vibing with this CMS right now. Karsh approved me merging this myself.
