Which OS?
Which SE version?
Do you already have Tesseract intalled (before using SE?)

Windows XP and Windows Vista (Worked fine on Win 7, but at the moment I dont
have 7 on my notebook.)

SE Version 3.3.4 and 3.3.5

I first used SE standalone, then also installed tesseract. But doesnt seem to
help.

Sorry for bothering you and thank you for your great tool.

Hm, SE will not work if you have used the Tesseract installer...
If you have use the tesseract installer the uninstall it + after uninstalling
the tesseract installer, you must still remove the environment variable
"TESSDATA_PREFIX" - e.g. like this: http://www.itechtalk.com/thread3595.html

Also, you might need the visual studio 2008 c++ runtime:

I did as you told me and everything worked fine on XP.

I also re-installed XP again and installed SE in the following order:

1. dotnetfx2
2. vcredist_x86
3. SE 3.3.5

Works also quiet fine! Thanx a lot!
