Hi Michael,

I'm trying to get a synergy scraper together as well and I was wondering If I could ask you some questions. I'm trying to scrape shot chart data or play-by-play data that includes shot location. My email is aharell@sfu.ca if that's easier.

So I've tested your scraper and it is working great, I was wondering if you've tried extending it to include any of the slightly more complex data that synergy offers such as shot chart? The reason I'm asking is because those stats involve a Microsoft Silverlight applet and I'm not sure how to interact with that. Alternatively, if you know where one might find the shot locations in the play-by-play data, I could build my own shot charts.

No I haven't tried doing that. If your goal is to superimpose shot charts to plot the cumulative FGM, and FGm then I would suggest asking your school if they have funding for a synergy add-on. The add-on that I think you would find useful is the multi-game shot chart. Try contacting someone from synergy about it and check if you can obtain the add-on. It would save you a lot of time.
