Player Sync > Spotify Connect Disconnects #34

Hello,

If I play with Spotify Connect in one room and then synchronize the player with another, the connection is disconnected.

I think that's because the name is changed with the synchronization. Is there a way to turn off the name change?

The players are not identified by their name, but by some internal ID. You could use the Groups plugin to pre-define player groups. These then could be exposed as Connect targets, if I remember correctly.

Would be nice if it was possible to add and remove speakers to the group of devices without changing between Spotify Connect devices in the Spotify app by using the server (or a virtual player) instead of the actual player as target device or something. I'm just starting with the whole LMS thing so not sure if there are other workarounds possible for that.
