Hi ...
From your notes, e-mail address @... and screen shot displaying '...' we can't
tell whether you're using FTP or
SSH, I'll assume SSH.
Re <http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/issues/detail?id=159#c1>
Whilst your symptoms don't quite match the other author's original report, I
_suspect_ that you may have the
same issue(s) as I do with one particular server.
Please:
* follow steps 1) and 2) and a) through g)
* if the path to which MacFusion _defaults_
differs from the path to which Cyberduck _defaults_
then please try specifying the path in MacFusion
-- the path must begin with a solidus /
then ideally add the result of that specification to
<http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/issues/detail?id=159>
OR
If you were *already* specifying the correct path in MacFusion, ideally
create a new issue <http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/issues/entry>.
In either case
--------------
Is the service to Windows computers in your lab -- and the corresponding FTP
and/or SFTP service to Macs --
provided by a Novell server?
<http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site:dal.ca%20SciFinder%20%2BNovell> I guess
so, but I'd like to be
sure.
Thanks

I had a similar problem (similar symptoms) with an SSHFS connection. For me the
issue was resolved by using the
defer_auth option in MacFUSE 0.4.0.
Re MacFusion issue 178
<http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/issues/detail?id=178>
forthcoming version 1.2 of MacFusion will make it easier to specify options
such as defer_auth for FTP
connections.

Re <http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/wiki/CHANGELOG> and
<http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/issues/detail?id=178>
Builds based on revision 267 or later from Subversion should offer a GUI for
advanced options for CurFtpFS (FTP)
connections.
A suitable nightly build is now available at
<http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/downloads/list>.
