Andrew, please:
A) Possible solution
For the affected favourite, try Extra Options (Advanced)
-o defer_auth
B) Debugging, if the solution fails
If defer_auth does not resolve the issue for you, then:
1) disconnect from the affected server
2) run MacFusion nightly 20070627 revision 279 (or later) from
<http://code.google.com/p/macfusion/downloads/list>
3) for the affected favourite, specify Extra Options (Advanced):
-o ftpfs_debug=3 -d -v
4) connect to the affected server
5) in the MacFusion Log window, and/or in the Console view of
~/Library/Logs/MacFusion.log
you'll find debug information that should be useful to the developers.
(Don't rush to post the debug information without first removing/obscuring your
FTP password and other sensitive
information.)

This one was completely my fault, sorry. I'd downloaded MacFUSE 0.4.0 but had
neglected to install it! I looked
at the log file and saw 0.3.0 so installed 0.4.0, used -o defer_auth, and
everything seems fine now. I'd tried -o
defer_auth yesterday and it kept timing out, which should have been an
indication in retrospect that I had the
wrong version of MacFUSE.
As far as I'm concerned, this issue is closed. Thank you and sorry again for
the confusion.
- Andrew.

Hi there. Great job on this program but I'm having the same problem with the ftp
permission denied thing. I can log on and see the various folders on the server
but
cannot upload...download yes, upload no. I've sent an attachment from the
macfusion
log which I hope can help. Keep up the great work!
