Please add an option to specify the mountpoint. I sometimes need to mount a
filesystem somewhere other than /Volumes.

Noted, thanks, but I can't estimate when or whether such an option may be 
added. 

As a workaround, maybe, 
symlink 
from around your desired mount point 
to around the standard mount point preferred by MacFusion.

Certain programs don't like to work with the symlink. For example, subversion 
does
not have an option to follow symbolic links.

Admittedly, the circumstances that led up to this were unusual, but I suspect 
that
there are other cases where a symlink just won't do the trick.
