No icons on Desktop with Leopard #256

When mounting a fuse filesystem on OSX 10.5 (Leopard) it successfully mounts 
and it accessible 
through Terminal but does not show up on the desktop.  Relaunching finder does 
not solve the 
issue.

This was tested using MacFUSE-Core-10.5-1.0.0 and Macfusion Version 1.2 Beta 3 
(1.1.268)
